The Historical Society is open by appointment only, December 22 and 23, 2008. We will be closed Christmas Eve (Dec 24) through January 5, 2009, and will reopen at 9AM on Tuesday, January 6.

The Historical Society is open Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Central Time. Visitors and researchers should contact us by email or phone: 866-834 - 7563 (toll free) or 615-327-1444 before they visit, in order to facilitate the best possible service from our staff.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide free parking for our guests. We reside in a beautiful building, to be sure, but it is land-locked, with no provision for parking. There is a premium parking garage right behind us (on Scarritt). Metered-parking is also available curbside. Thank you for your cooperation by using these public parking options.
